PlaySpace

Boston Children’s Museum’s iconic infant and toddler space was introduced in 1978 and inspired many other museums to create developmentally appropriate experiences for very young children and their grown-ups.

Grounded in current research in child development, this complete redesign of PlaySpace continues the tradition of supporting adult/child engagement in physical, sensory and imaginative play, and re-imagines the space with richly textured materials, all new hands-on activities and an inviting, joyful physical environment.
