Turtle Tank
The Museum’s two Painted turtles, Frida and Georgia outgrew their old tank and needed a new home. The new tank features sculpted landforms that simulate the turtles’ natural habitat and a transparent bottom that allows visitors to peer up at the turtles as if from within the water themselves. A scenic skin of fanciful plant-forms surrounds the tank, providing hiding places for the turtles and peep-holes for visitors to search for them.
